Problem :

Every year, thousands of mothers experience complicated births (premature birth, caesarean section, mother-baby separation) and are unable to breastfeed straight away. In these critical moments, colostrum, the irreplaceable first milk, produced in just a few millilitres, is often lost due to the lack of a simple, suitable tool for collecting it. Yet every drop of this immune-boosting concentrate matters for the newborn’s health. And existing solutions (syringes, makeshift cups, breast pumps) are designed neither for this task nor for these moments.

Solution :

The Mammex is a tool specifically designed to facilitate manual expression and collection of colostrum in situations where time and circumstances do not allow for improvisation. Easy to understand, ready to use and affordable, it is aimed at both mothers and healthcare professionals. The Mammex fits naturally into existing practices without disrupting anything. Manufactured on an industrial scale, it is now available for home use and in hospital settings.
