Overview

Problem :

Feeding the world without poisoning those who grow the food, or the biodiversity on which crops depend: the urgency of this is now beyond dispute. Alternatives to pesticides already exist and are recognised by law. Yet they are struggling to gain acceptance.

The obstacle is no longer a matter of innovation. A bio-solution acts slowly, inside the plant, invisible to the naked eye: no one can say for certain whether it works, or why. For lack of evidence, these effective products are not reaching farmers.

Solution :

At inLux Biotech, we make microorganisms glow so that we can film their activity inside living plants, in climate chambers and under controlled conditions.

Agricultural manufacturers can finally determine which of their candidates are worth field-testing before committing to funding them. This means that the best alternatives to pesticides reach farmers more quickly.
